Welcome to My Fundraising Page

October 2016
Dear Family and Friends-
It’s October again! As many of you know, it is the month of lots of celebrations (birthdays for 3 of my 4 children, my birthday, my brother’s birthday and wedding anniversary) and the month I start to grieve (as it marks another birthday that Alexandra is not here to celebrate with us). She would be 9 years old this year. So, in addition to the party that we always have at the cemetery with cupcakes, flowers, balloons and games (as seen above), I try to do something in her memory that will be meaningful and impactful.
So, this is the time that I ask you to help me and us. As many of you know, each year we fundraise for Cure SMA in Alexandra’s name, as we strongly believe that one day, there will be a cure for SMA (spinal muscular atrophy -- the leading cause of death for children under the age of 2). One day, we will be able to say that Alexandra significantly contributed to that discovery, which will allow other children to live much longer and, hopefully one day, enjoy a long life free of SMA. Right now, Cure SMA has a drug that has been submitted to the FDA for approval. This is the first drug to be submitted for approval and a major accomplishment.
So, join us in our celebration of Alexandra’s 9th birthday by making a donation in her memory. Just got to the link below, or 800-886-1762 or mail a check to Cure SMA, 925 Busse Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. Thank you in advance to those who continue to support me with this effort and I thank you to the new contributors. If you can do $1,000, $500 or even $100, I'd be most appreciative. If you can only give $50 or $25, then I understand and thank you. Every bit helps, as you can see from the amazing progress made over the years, as we await FDA approval.
“Happy 9th birthday, Alexandra! We do this for you baby! We know that one day there will be a treatment and/or cure for SMA which will give real meaning to your sweet but short life. Until then, we blow out the 9 birthday candles for you and in your memory. We miss you, Muffin Stuffin', and love you with all our hearts forever!"
